Professional photo shoot...

 I recently got some photos taken of the LM as I haven't had this done for awhile....I also got a package for Jaxon...

The LM was such a ham....

I didn't want staged photos of him so I got bossy and told the photographer to bring that chair over here ,told the LM to sit in the corner put your feet on the chair and then I told him something about Dog Dog and he had to tell him about it so while the LM was talking to Dog Dog I looked at the photographer to start taking photos and he did.....

Jaxon was a cutie it was so hot in the studio that Emmanuel  held him over the fan OMG this boy loved it....

           Here is Jaxon's photo that Kerry choose as Jaxon First Birthday photo....LOVE IT.....

Here is the LM's photo .....I LOVE IT....I'm glad Dog Dog was in it I want to remember and also LM to as well how much he loved Dog Dog....

I love photos they evoke so many emotions and each time you look at them they'll be different feelings....

Jaxons Birthday crown....

Yeah Yeah Yeah I am a bit late with this post but I got there finally....

When Jaxon turned one cough last month I wanted to make him a birthday crown.I made Aidan on and I really love the whole idea of them to hand down and cherish those birthday moments...

I wanted something special for Jaxons so I got Kerry to write his name and I then stitched it onto some felt.So now the crown will be a bit me and a bit Kerry...

I love how his name came out.Kerry doesn't like things overdone so I just used pinking scissors around the piece to jazz it up a bit...

                                                 Here's my cute little model wearing it....

On the night he was so good he didn't even realise it was on his head....But the crown looked cute...

Whoa a new front door....

We finally got our new front door I mean it's only been about 4 years of me whingeing ha ha ...

You can see here how yuck looking our door was...I didn't get to get a proper photo as Kevin had already started repairing the wood around the glass but hey you can still see though that it needed to go....

We got the same style as I don't do change very well and over two weeks  he stained and sealed the door and the wood surrounding  the glass work....

Thanks Kevin you did a fantastic job and it was worth the wait.....but I'm not waiting that long for the next reno job to be done......

Beautiful Baby Jayce

                                 This picture is of Kevin's niece Clare and her husband Tony.....

                                  They already have two beautiful boys Zeke and Trey ......

Last year Clare fell pregnant and it was exciting waiting for her to have another little baby ....

Well Clare was quite sick with this bub and put in hospital for complete bed rest which would be hard for anyone but Clare is tiny and always on the go a real worker like her mum....

Anyway in December when Clare was 26 weeks pregnant our beautiful baby boy Jayce was born weighing 650 grams...

I'm not going into all the details just to say we prayed for them all and we prayed a lot....

                            Last week Jayce was 100 days old he was allowed home.... 

He is on oxygen , he is wearing size 00000 which are still a bit big.....he has hurdles to face....

                               But like his mother this little Angel is a fighter.....

               Welcome home Jayce we cant wait to see you grow and be part of your life.....

Mixed up Photos Friday 40

Hi Blogging friends hope you are all well,me still the same.....

I have some great photos this week so I hope you  enjoy them.....

Last week we had a visit from Batman this week it's Bat girl....My cutie pie niece Chloe.....

                    Annaliese became a toothless terror member when she lost her first tooth ....

Here's Brie last week I mentioned  that I was looking for a "partner" for Brie well I had a few people put their hands ups I have edited them and thought I would show you a couple that stood out but are not suitable...

Come on Brie this ones a bit hairy.....

                        Sorry Brie this one has an eating disorder look how bony he is.....

Don't worry though I will keep looking...and again if anyone knows someone who could be Bries Mr Right send me his details.I really know for sure now that it is my mission to set her up with her soul mate.....xxx

Tooth Fairy was busy this week the LM lost his 2nd tooth  when I took his photo there is the new tooth already popped through...Its been 3 days since he lost his tooth and you wouldn't know it no gap...

We had a little drama with this tooth though.He took it into the bathroom and was looking at himself in the mirror and he dropped it down the drain...He was so upset so I told him just write a little note to the fairy and it will OK....So here's what he wrote....

I accidentally dropped it down the drain I am sorry love Aidan.....

He got $2.

          Here is the LM trying to make me beautiful with hot rollers.He is such a funny kid....

A selfie of me and my beautiful Jaxon.....Love him more each day....Kerry came over on Wednesday with my boy and I got to see some of his new tricks...

When you say Good Boy he claps...he does knuckles where you rub knuckles together,he gets a little car and sorta broom vroom it driving it over the floor or table funny like he knows what to do with it...he blows kisses ,waves but the funniest is you bend your head down and say head butt and that's what he does he head butts you ....repeatably....thanks Emmanuel ha ha ....I love seeing all his new things the world is so fresh through his eyes...

Poor Bub fell down the stairs in his bike......Big bruise on his cheek Kerry thought he was going to have a black eye but he didn't....oh well this is the first of many...

Miss Lilly went to the hairdressers......well the mobile dog groomer came to our house and she got a wash and blow dry and then they also gave her a new hair cut...she can see now and not have to keep looking through her fringe....

On Saturday we went to the movies to see Sherman and Mr Peabody great movie....here is Kev and the LM look at how serious they are and this was just the add....

Brie I told you NO to this one....don't just grab anyone I am going to find you Mr Right....Come on Blogger friends you have to help me....Looking for someone over 30 but Brie may go a bit younger  as I think she may like to be thought of as a bit of a cougar....

And lastly our grand daughter Shakira turned two on Wednesday....Mitchell sent us the photo of Shakira in the car we bought her for her birthday...

Well that's it for the week I hope you like them....Brie I'm glad you can take a joke love you heaps but friends if you do know of anyone....OK Brie I'll shut up......Just email me their details he he he

Out of the mouths of babes....while at the movies there was a short for the movie How to train your dragon 2.I told the LM that he was part Norwegian as that was where my dad came from...He looked at me and then said "don't forget I'm part Devil as well"  ha ha ha  the lady behind us also thought so as she started to laugh.

Lego Letters.

This week I made the cutest letters for the LM's room and for Jaxon's room..

And while they were super easy I am never making them again...only because they took awhile getting all the pieces together in the end I "borrowed" some from the LM..but if you have a large amount of Lego -Go for it....

Boy they turned out great....

All I did was get  a wooden letter from Spotlight but just any where you get them from will be OK.I painted around the around the edges  of the letter J first but for the A I left it till it was almost finished.

Big mistake it is easier to paint first...

Then I got flat pieces of Lego and glued them to the letters the object is to try and cover as much as you can with these big pieces  once you have done this just go for it by adding any bits you can and fill the letter up till you are  happy...

Remember to add height some are one piece high some are 3 pieces high the sky is the limit....
I used two little Lego men on mine because I wanted to  and I also used on both of them a couple of wheels ...

This project is EASY.....all you need is your wooden letter,a little bit of paint,Lego and glue I used Pritt ....

TIP:  I found once I had my letter base covered just do a section at a time to let the glue dry that way you arnt knocking pieces off....

Have fun.....and just remember you cant go wrong here there is no right or wrong.Just glue your pieces on however you want the way you want to look how you want .....

PS if you have to buy Lego for this it is going to cost a bit..I found out the hard way I bought a few special pieces off ebay and it cost me $30 and it went no where That's why I "borrowed" ha ha some of the LM's....I suggest you look in second hand shops or "borrow" from your kids....

Refreshing the LM's room

We did the LM's room up late last year....but I saw this picture of a quilt on a friends blog and had to have it....

It was from Target and only $20 for a double size...The LM's bed is king single so double fit better....

Then the rug he had on his floor I just wasn't happy with and when in Spotlight I got this for $100 bargain....

The last rug was dark chocolate and now we have this beautiful taupe....

                                                  Gee I should have ironed the cover ha ha

His room didn't need the change but I love this so .When I asked him if he liked his new room the grin on his face was worth it and he said he like the yellow cushions best  I was so pleased as they were an after thought....

When we painted his room I wanted it to be light and fresh and it was but this a great now it just seems cleaner brighter fresher....

So you don't need to spend a fortune to change a room to make it look great just a few bits will do it..

Photo cube loving

This little craft is so simple I feel guilty about posting it....

I have like most of us have heaps of photos and displaying them is really hard well it was till now....

Kevin cut up a piece of timber we bought into blocks.

I picked out some photos I like and made them a 5cm square and printed them out and cut them to size....

I used a matching paint to give the edges some coverage and I also painted one side so that would be my base.... when that was dried I used my wonderful Modge Podge to attach the photos onto the wood then a good coat on top of the photo just to protect it.

Leave it to dry overnight and Whola !!! a lovely little photo cube....

It must be good because Kerry emailed me asking if I would make one of just Jaxon for her desk at work.You bet I made it Kerry doesn't ask for craft much....

So if you have some time and some photos make up these little cubes.Years ago I made my mother a more decorated set of cubes of each of the grandkids boy that was time consuming but the blocks are special as they are for my mum...

White baby blanket.

Kev has a new grand baby coming soon so I thought Id better make another baby blanket as I have for all the others...

Things were going great until I realised it was way to big and I didn't think I would have enough...

So I rang Spotlight and I am using Stellar which has been discontinued and Jazz which is still available and I crotchet the two together with a number 10mm hook...

                 So I unpulled it all and started again thinking I would just make it smaller....

          Well then I realised it was too small but I couldn't let all that hard work go to waste....

So I kept making it till I was happy with the size , folded it in half sewed up the sides turned it in and put a cushion insert in and BAMM.....

The LM has a cushion which I thought he would love as he loves to touch this all the time and he does love it but it is Dog Dog's as he really needed a soft bed....

So the LM's happy ....

Dog Dog's happy ....

And me well I went to Spotlight bought heaps more wool and will start again on my baby blanket....
