Hyperbaric Chamber Treatment

I found this picture while going through and cleaning up my computer and thought I would share it again.

Tomorrow I am going to see the Infectious Disease Team at my hospital not looking forward to it but I am looking forward to getting better.
I just wonder what kind of treatment they will give me?.....it is the LM's birthday next week and I cant arrange anything till after this visit because I don't know if I will be in hospital or what.....

You all know I am sick (yeah yeah I can hear the jokes from here )  well looking at the picture made me realise just how much we have tried and tried  to get well.

Here I was at  Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney trying to see if this would help me....I am in their Hyperbaric chamber which you breathe in 100% oxygen which is suppose to help heal wounds. This is the same chamber that they use for divers .

We got to go into the chamber it self and check it out  I started to freak out and sweat was dripping down my back it was dark yuk and very claustrophobic and I didn't like it at all.

They sit 6 or 7 patients in here on the chairs and we have to put the helmet on .The helmet is attached to oxygen and it slowly gets breathe in by me.It was like a submarine not that I have been in one but Kevin said that was the feeling you got.

Not my feeling Kev I was packing S%#@  and couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Next we went into the testing room where they put the helmet on me  and turned on the oxygen it was on for around 15mins and although you cant see it in the pictures I was a mess I was fidgeting with my rings and crying and poor Kev said he just wanted to lean over and rip it off but knew we had to try and see if it worked.

Well it didn't.They had all little clamps over me to measure the oxygen levels and I didn't respond to it.Part of me was happy with the result the other part weren't. My oxygen levels didn't change at all.If they had I would have had to travel 90mins each way to the hospital  every day for 6 weeks of treatment.

I have also tried ....

Acupuncture-didn't work and neither did the Chinese medicine that I was given...

Paw Paw treatment-this had some success except I couldn't apply the cream to my legs as the wounds were too serve and we couldn't rub it in as we should have done.Tom (the inventor of this product ) tried lots of ways to use it and even made me a lighter purer version but it couldn't help the way it did for other patients.....Although it cleared up some other problems and I would try it again.....

Bowen massage- didn't work as my legs were too much of a mess and she couldn't really press hard although we did try for around 6 weeks....

Pills pills and pills  all kinds and once I was given some experimental drugs which in fact caused a new wound to open and the fastness of it developing and the severity of it nearly had my have my foot amputated but by the stroke of luck I saw my current Doctor who managed to save it...So now we ask questions  and do research on any pill they want to give me and we have said no to a couple as they had too many side effects...

I had steroids but again all these did was cause me to put on 30plus  kilos and didn't clear anything up  so we stopped them.

The funniest  though was Viagra  yes you heard me right. It's job was( to well for me ) to get the circulation increased and blood flow  going ..... so for 3 months I was on this and yep it failed as well...We had to get authorisation to take these as it is still on trail for my type of problem .It cost almost $3000.00 dollars for 3 months supply and yet it failed.

So in all the journey has been horrible I have nearly had my foot amputated once (freaked me out terribly) but the worst was magotts.I wont go into details except to say that twice in the hot  Summer this has happened and I went to hospital. They wernt worried because they said they help clean the wound but the problem was me how gross it was to see them on my leg and have to get my father and Kevin get them off .This was the lowest point

So I know some people say you should try this or try that believe me when I say we have tried everything we can  so we just wait till the Doctors have a  new suggestion or  a new pill is granted for us to try and in the mean while we cross our fingers pray and wait....

The little yellow table Fairy tale......

Once upon a time there was a table ....

A very sad looking table, nothing I did made it look any good ,I tried changing the items on it around but still it lacked the X factor I wanted I really liked this table as I had only just bought it from Bunnings and it was just the right size for our back deck.......

Looks sad doesn't it....

Well all that changed when Prince Kevin came to the damsels rescue and gave the table a good coat of metal primer....

And then Prince Kevin gave it another coat of primer to make sure he covered it all....He sure is good that Prince Kevin not to mention very handsome......(yes he did get rid of these runs on the leg)

Prince Kevin then produced the magical can of Golden Yellow spray paint which promised to make my table shine......And shine it did....Very brightly it did shine. The damsel was very worried.
"Fear not fair maiden all will be fine" said Prince Kevin....

Over and over Prince Kevin spray this magical colour unto the table and she changed before our eyes...

"Gee Prince Kevin she is mighty bright I suppose it is too late to change our mind now about the colour ?"
"Fear not sweet maiden (I think that is Prince Kevin's favourite saying) wait till you put it back in your kingdom and place your royal Jewell's upon it and then we will see how you feel then "replied Prince Kevin.

"OK Prince Kevin" swooned the maiden  hoping for a kiss or two but that is another fairytale and is a restricted rating and can not be shown on a family blog.

We aren't that type of blog here....

So the handsome Prince Kevin put the little yellow table back up on the back deck and the damsel put some  bits n pieces on it.

The damsel said "I love it but I need my carriage to go to the shops and get something else to go on it"
"what are you going to get ?" asked the Prince....

"I don't know till I see it "she replied.....

So they lived happily ever after the Damsel the Prince and the Prince promised to take the damsel shopping so she could buy some more Jewell's for the table. The little yellow table was also very happy and smiled and smiled no one would ignore her again....

OH take a look at the little yellow bird that I got him to paint at the same time.I think it looks so so  cute...it is the 'yellow bird of happiness' yeah I know it should be the  blue bird of happiness but as I don't like the colour blue there is  no blue bird here  just a glorious yellow one......ha ha

A motto I can live with...

                              Yes I like this....

Spinach pastrys...

Do you eat any of the following???

Cottage cheese...
Feta cheese....
Spinach....

Me I cant stand any vegetables but I am trying to change the way I do things and trying to eat vegetables is one of the things I want to try to do ...

Mum!!!! what are you doing laying on the floor? I know I have never eaten vegetables but come on give me a chance and get off the floor......

Where is this post going you ask?  Well I found this recipe for some Spinach rolls here Five brothers one sister and I thought come on Dee give it a go remember small steps...and yes me being me I have changed it heaps to the original.

So here is my take on the  recipe

Spinach Pastry's...

Frozen spinach -thawed
Cottage cheese-I used about 1/3 cup
Feta cheese-About 1/4 cup crumbed up
Mixed cheese-This was Pizza cheese which is a mixture of 3 cheeses -mozzarella- Parmesan and cheddar or you can just use cheddar.I put in 1/2 cup.
1 egg.
puff pastry..
1 egg or milk to brush onto pastry
sesame seeds.

1-Put all of the above except the puff pastry into a bowl and mix.

2- cut your puff pastry into 4 pieces.

3-Place teaspoons of mixture onto pastry and fold them over to make triangles.

4- press around the edges to seal the pastry....

cook in a hot hot (around 12mins till golden brown)

Eat hot or cold.

The LM helped out with these and he said "why don't we make circles" OMG what a great idea so we did and I prefer them to the triangles. Our circles were just bite size and would be perfect for parties so they will be getting made again.

Yes they turned out good and yes I tried them.Kev liked them ,LM didn't like them too cheesy he said and me well lets say I would eat them if there was nothing else to eat...Sounds terrible thing to say but I couldn't handle the cheeses ....

I will make them again and try different fillings.

Mini Golf

During the school holidays Kev and I took the LM and his cousins Zeke and Trey to Mini Golf......

Great idea hey  glad I thought of it..... some fun and some cousin bonding...
We did have a great time. The boys were so good and were laughing and having fun.Their ages were Zeke 8, LM 5, and  Trey 3 but for this day they mixed really well together no fighting well none that I saw ha ha .....
When we got there and went in the guy gave us clubs and balls each and then I had the scorecard....Score card!!!! forget it We hadn't even got to the first hole when balls and clubs and kids were everywhere who knew who's were who's so the score card got put into my bag and was forgotten which was too bad for the only person who was concentrating and doing his best and even got a hole in one who you ask???? KEVIN...

Yep Kevin let the boys go ahead and then he had his turn doing the right strut holding his head a certain way looked sooo dam cute he did. Then he got his hole in one which I only caught the end bit of it and the boys well they didn't care they were too busy checking out the mummy in the tomb that when anyone walked past the sensor it would rise out of the coffin only to scare the @&%$ out of 3 little boys and One Old Fat Hen who almost fell over when it happened too her.The stupid part was I had been laughing at the boys when it happened to them so I knew it was there...

So after we finished it was treat time and LM and Zeke had ice cream Yeah ice cream at 11.00am am I a bad mother or a totally cool one for letting them eat ice cream so early in the day  and little Trey had salt n vinegar chips .What a great way to end the day.

If you have a chance try out Mini golf with the kids .We were lucky as ours was an indoor venue great for winter days.It could do with a good clean to get the dust off the plants and such but the boys didn't notice that only me and Kev said it could have more lighting but again the boys didn't care so I will stop whingeing and will go again.

This time I will be ready for that Mummy.....

Hi hope you all enjoy my pictures this week....

God I am so thankful for this little I just love him. Here he is laughing with me ...he kept bringing his head down to me and was kind of giggling.I think it looks like he is saying "Oh Nana you tell me some funny jokes I love them"Kev said "it was wind" ha ha

My other beautiful boy the LM picked these from the garden and gave them to me to make me feel happy he said.Such a kind boy behind all that cheekiness...

Yes he is cheeky -it looks like he is doing a Saturday night fever pose.....

Found this little "A" in my craft room and the LM glued the paper on and cut it out.A bit rough in some places but he did it and I love it...

This little Princess is going to join us later this year and I cant wait to meet her.Her mother is Talia and I showed her wedding picture a couple of weeks ago.She is the second eldest daughter of my Bestie Jan's daughters. So this will make Baby girl number 7 to this family.....No boys YET.....

Congratulations to my nephew Tyler he got Man of the Match at his footy game this week.GO TYLER !!!!!

This little cutie is my niece Makayla  she is Tyler's sister and is on her way to pre-school....

Sunglasses in side this baby is sooooo cool.....And guess what he is mine....

This cutie is also mine.LM took this photo when Kev was trying to get ready to go out.I told him he looked like a slightly older Tom Cruise in the movie Risky Business...Maybe just a tad older......

And these my friends are the most horrible legs ever....(I had just had a shower that is baby powder around my toes) and LM took this picture as well.I am going to hide my phone from him I think...

My two loves of my life.....and my little walking stick in the mirror.God I hate that stick but I need it so much I guess it is a love hate relationship...

and the newest love of my life Prince Jaxon....he is such a little doll.

This little Princess is Jahnaya she is our besties Lisa and Alan niece and this is her school photo.LM loves her and the way he plays with her is amazing he doesn't see her as different (Jahnaya has autism) he just sees her as his friend and that is how it should be....

Isnt this fabric beautiful.....I cant tell you what they are but it is for a project I am working on for my house and havnt quite finished it yet....It will be a shock for those who know me because I don't use these colours  it is so unlike me but then again I told you all I am changing and I mean changing everything....

I hope you all have a great weekend.
