I found this on my phone today.LM loves doing "his nose" and he did this one without me knowing...god knows what else he does without either Kev or I knowing...

                                                                  Beautiful Annaliese...

A big Happy Birthday to my brother-in-law John.....

                                                                                John and Kev......

                                                                    Kerry and Minty.....

                                                          Little Man and Minty....

Kerry has always been a cat person...About 7 years ago  her cat Tyra had kittens and  she gladly gave one to our niece Rachel and he was called Minty......

Minty was a pure bred Himalayan  blue point cat. Kerry could have sold him for a lot of money but wanted him to go to Rachel who she knew would love him just like she loved her cats.

Well Minty was loved by all the family-even the ones who usually didn't like cats. He grew big and fat and was beautiful.

Sadly he was hit by a car yesterday and passed away.

This little cat will be missed by everyone. Poor Rachel and her Mum are devastated -Kerry is so upset we are upset. When a pet dies it is more than a pet it is a family member and will be sadly missed.

Minty will never be forgotten and when I think of him I can see him sunning himself on a cloud looking down on us purring.

Miss you Minty....

Easy Crayon Art

I have seen this everywhere on Pinterest and I don't know where it started from so I cant give proper credit here ...If you started this "thanks very much"

I just couldn't wait to give it a go....

I am in the middle of redoing the LM's room and thought this would look great on the white walls .

You will need...

I sorted out the crayons into a rainbow effect....not sure if it is the correct rainbow set up  but I like it...

This is where I made a mistake.I started gluing crayons at the other end so by the time I got to the middle the gap was too small for 2 crayons and too big for one crayon so I just squished the crayon on ....

Also next time I would put a ruler across the top to make sure the crayons go on dead level.....

I used a heat gun that I have for embossing stamps to melt the crayons. As I was melting them I didn't like the little white gaps around the tip of the crayons so I just tipped the canvas upside down and let the melted crayon fall backwards to cover the gap then just turn it around again and kept going.

Also you need to have your canvas upright as to allow the melted wax to flow downwards. Make sure you have some newspaper or something similar underneath to catch any extra wax so your table will be protected...and also remember melted  wax is HOT....

Keep stopping while you are melting the wax to see if you need more melted  here or  melted there....

Finally finished and I  like it...

So there you have my first attempt at melted crayon art...Now I am going to do another one and will fix the mistakes I made here.

Also you can use a hairdryer to melt the crayons if you don't have a heat gun but it will take a little bit longer.

Another thing I have read is don't use cheap crayons they have something in them so the result isn't as good but hey the choice is yours.

Now I have to go and start my next one before I lose interest in it.

The LM loves it but said "my colours arnt in the correct order...."

Soooo another change to make...

Wings for Ava

I love these little wing books. I usually make them as a gift for friends for their  new born babies.

They are just so cute. I have lost track of how many I have actually made and the recipients love them as well.

I love using pinks probably because I have so much of it in my stash.I was determined to not buy anything to use on this book but just use up what I have. Thankfully I had heaps to choose from...

My one problem when I make something is I don't know when to stop . I keep adding and adding bits and then it just looks too full. Hopefully I stopped myself in time for this one...

Sorry about the glare on the photo but you get the idea...

So now I am off to the post to send this little wing book off to it's new home.
Bye...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM

Today is my mums birthday and I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the Worlds Greatest Mother

.I know everyone says that but I believe it. My mother is the best.

She has always put us before herself....

I am the eldest of her 3 daughters....

She raised us on her own and we have turned out great....Well I have ha hah..She worked 7 days a week to support us and I will never forget just what a hard worker she is....

Kerry was mum's first grandchild and she is the best Nana you could ever want for your children....

The Little Man has a really close relationship with his Nana...

Mum and John are the worlds best Grandparents.I mean check out the LM's smile doesn't he know it...

Kerry and Mum share a very special bond together. Kerry takes after my mother in lots of ways which is so good to see...except for  the shoes and bags they are both addicts to them...

Mum calls LM her "little ray of Sunshine" and she sings it to her....He knows this is their special song which makes it even better....

She has been married to John well it has been forever. They are still very much in love and I hope Kev and I will be like that as well...

Mum is always there when you need her...and to  be part of special events in our lives...

She has 3 daughters 2 stepsons and 1 stepdaughter who she loves all equally.....

There are 9 grand kids of which the LM is the youngest and Kerry being the eldest....

She has 4 great grand kids and Jaxon is the youngest. So now he will start his wonderful relationship with this marvellous Nana...

She is my Mother but more than that she is my best friend. She cheers me up when I am down. She crys with me when I am in pain..And we laugh and talk all the time and I mean we talk talk talk.
I could not live without her.

And this photo is for you mum.
It is my favourite and I know you hate it ha ha I bet you thought I wasn't going to use this one (again) ha ha
Happy Birthday Mum....
Thanks for being you and bringing such joy and love  into our lives...

Subway art for Jaxon

Last night  I finally got around to making a subway art sign for baby Jaxon I mean he is only 4 months old that's not too bad (is it ?) anyway  I love how it turned out but I don't know what back ground to use....

                                                         The light blue chevron????

Or the light blue and grey chevron background????

I have sent a copy over to Kerry so she can have the final say then I will frame it...I like these as they are just a different way to show baby's birth details...

Do you like it?

Any suggestions on how to make it better?...

I think I am leaning towards the blue and grey back ground it just looks "yum" to me .Well that's the only way I can describe it.

In case you are wondering how I made this (what your not!!!) (well I am going to tell you anyway) it was done in Pic Monkey that wonderful photo editing site.

First I made a blank canvas ....you make a blank canvas by just deleting all the cells and then save it to your desk top..I have a blank canvas on my desktop all the time so whenever I want to make something I can skip this step.(probably silly as it only takes a couple of minutes to make)

Then I went into' edit a photo' using my blank canvas as the photo.

I chose my first font to start with got it to the size I thought I should have then changed the colour then pressed the save button.

I continued with the rest of the details changing fonts, size and colours till they looked good to my eye.

Also I saved everything on each change  it is a pain in the butt  but at least you wont lose your hard work..

Once done it was saved for the last time..... we put it on a USB and took it to Office works ( a very large office supply shop which does everything) there they printed this out to the size I wanted....

Whoop Whoop another thing to cross off my to do list.......................

This pink one is for our friends daughter I just thought I would show it off with Jaxons blue one to show you a different colour variation....I have done a post on this before... here

Looks good in both pink or blue what do you think?

Also what colour background would you chose for Jaxon?

Thanks for your help
