Our new Grandson Bowen Mitchell.

Yeah   Our newest little Grandson finally made his appearance last night.

We got a phone call from Mitchell around 10.30pm and he told us they were going to the hospital.OMG  I got that excited but thought oh well baby will be here tomorrow and went to sleep.

 

Mitchell then rang us about 11.20pm to say he was a dad again to a little boy.It was a surprise for them as they already have a little boy Luca and a daughter Shakira .

 

So now I can show you our Beautiful little boy..

 

Bowen Mitchell weight 8lb 6 oz length 51cms such a cutie and look at his dark hair.....

Poor mummy Teala she looks so tired.These pictures were taken minutes after he was born...

Sleeping baby's are so sweet and innocent arnt they.I am so glad that both Bowen and Teala are well and everything is ok.

Can you believe this .Bowen was born at 11.16pm and here it is less than 24 hours later and he is going home.What happened to staying in hospital for a few days?

Shakira rides shotgun with Bowen on the way out of hospital...Bowens eyes are open I hope he will be a sleepy baby not too alert for awhile..

So now the only problem I have now is how do I get the smile off Poppy Kevin's face.....IT"S HUGE.....

Felt Ball Garland.

Recently I bought my beautiful deer head and although I love him  he looked all sad hanging on my wall....

I wanted to dress him up some way but was unsure of what to do...

Then I saw it.... a  Hand Felted Ball Garland and it made my heart sing with happiness.(well it didn't really sing a bit of exaggeration there Dee but I was happy when I saw it)

So I went onto Etsy and bought my balls (don't go there keep it all above the belt) I also bought some extra ones to make a garland to go into Jaxons room.

Talk about easy to make I am almost embarrassed to write and tell you how I made it but here goes...

Get a  sharp needle and thread it with strong cotton or string then push the needle into the balls and pull through to the other side to stop the ball moving I then go backwards into the ball with the needle so I end up where I started from and then thread it back through the ball .The ball is now secure and I just use my fingers to guide me to how much between each ball and I keep repeating this until garland is the length I want it to be.I think I used 27 balls for mine...

It took me all of 15 mins to make and yes I am very happy with it....

Looks good doesn't it he isn't sad looking anymore.I am going to get some more balls to make another garland up for Christmas just can't decide what colours to use...

LM took this picture and insisted I use it on Fat Hen that's how he says my blog ..."is this for Fat hen Dee ?" it sounds so  funny coming out of his mouth...

This is the one for Jaxon these colours match his prints in his room....Hope Kerry will use it...

Our Fathers Day

 

Yesterday we celebrated Fathers day.....

 

So before I go any further Happy Fathers day to all the Fathers in our family and also to all the other Fathers....

 

  

First off the LM brought Kevin in a coffee (the night before I put coffee and sugar and water into a cup so the LM could turn on the microwave add milk and give it to Kevin) well he forgot the milk so Kev had a lovely cup of black warmish coffee which he drank.

 

 Next LM brought him in some toast.Yes he cooked it in the toaster but it had no butter or anything on top of the cooked toast.Kev ate it....

 

 

Then to top it all off LM picked a flower for Kev-how cute is that kid and how cute is Kev to eat it all...

We bought Kevin a new push bike for Fathers day so Kev and the LM rode over to his Dads house to give him his gifts...

We rang my Dad to say Happy Fathers Day.....wish we were up there in QLD to be with mum and him...maybe next year.John is not my real father but he is more than a real dad.He has always been there (over 30 years) he has loved Kerry the LM and Jaxon as though they were his own and they in turn think the same.I am very proud to introduce him as my father...and could not wish for a better role model for LM and Jaxon to look up to....

Our newest Father is Emmanuel  he is such a great dad you can see it in  the way he holds and watches Jaxon.We are lucky to have him as part of the family...

 In the afternoon Alan and Lisa came over for a BBQ dinner.When they first got here we were all out the front sitting in the sun laughing and of course the LM insisted on bike riding ....

                                          Poor Lisa she rode heaps  with the LM and he loved it....

So after all the bike riding fun and sun then a wonderful BBQ with one or maybe two drinks what happens to one Father and a Godfather?

They are both drunk and pull funny faces on the lounge while Lisa trys to take their picture and the LM just joins in.

Welcome Spring

 

 Hello and a great big Happy 1st Day of Spring .....

I love Spring I love the colours I love the beautiful flowers that start to appear I love the new lives that are born speaking of which it looks like our new "Grandchild" will be born today so fingers and toes crossed.

The LM drew this picture of a flower for me.....I will keep this forever because it is rare for him to draw,-write he will write anything and is always asking how to spell this word or this word but if you ask him to draw you a picture "swish" he is gone so fast so no drawing...

                 I think I like the weather the best in Spring.It isn't cold  nor too hot just comfortable...

The colours of Spring are so breathtaking as well....No more dark dull greys...

                                                                 I love these little eggs.....

The best thing about Spring is you want to do and make things. No more snuggling under a blanket watching a movie or sitting in front of the fire ......Its outside in the garden or  painting or just loving the sun....

I love seeing all the new growth that Spring brings to my garden....Pure Bliss....

I would love to have this on my front door....Who says you can only have a wreath at Christmas time on your door.I will look into making myself a wreath like this.....

The worst part of Spring is the dreaded Spring cleaning....Oh but when that is done your house looks and smells beautiful and you have more time for family...

When I asked the LM what he liked about Spring the most he said "whats Spring?"  When I explained it to him he said "the pool is his favourite" I love hearing the splashing of the water and the laughter coming from the pool it is the best feeling ever...

Kev  said  Spring for  him  is  BBQ's    which  is  right  I  had  forgotten  about  that.
