Dancing Dudes

Aidan loves to dance and sing...

The other night he wanted to show me a new dance he learnt at school..

It was Nut bush....I couldn't stop laughing the little guy thought it was something new and couldn't believe we already knew it...

We got talking about some other dances and he asked me to download some songs for him so we download them and then he wanted to show us the "moves"

Well Kev got into the groove and they started with the Macarania....

Aidan is concentrating so hard and doing it properly and Kev  well Kev is just being Kev and getting mixed up....

 

 

I also managed to film a bit.Aidan keeps dancing his steps while Kev gets mixed up and does his own thing Lilly keeps jumping up on Aidan to play but no my little dancing dude kept on dancing...

Easter decorations

OK this is my last Easter post I promise....

It seems the trend of Easter decorations is really getting big now everywhere you go shops are full of bunnies and eggs all in pastels.

Tell me why is Easter all pastels??

Here is my Easter tree....

My eggs are a couple of years old now I cant believe I have had a Easter "tree" for that long...

But I love it and will keep doing it....

 

I have had this little Easter train for awhile too .Aidan picked it out...

Kerry gave me this picture of Jaxon from his school so welcome to the Easter decorations...

This year Aidan made this chicken at Bunnings so its a Easter keeper now...

A new favourite is this cute wooden tree with little eggs that I got this from Kmart for $10.

SO do you decorate for Easter.? We do and we love it

Another month is gone and we say goodbye to April....

What a great month it was....

Aidan and Kev went camping at Easter only to get washed out but they still had a great time...

Easter was great and the Bunnie was pretty good to Aidan...

Spent time with our favourite 2year old Jaxon.....

Aidan received a beautiful cushion from a lovely friend...

Wow we got our AC/DC tickets can not wait....

April is gone we are looking forward to May and all it brings..

Cooking cookies

We recently went to the Foragers Markets at Bulli where I bought this mason jar with cookie mix inside where all you had to do was add the liquid and egg....

We decided to make these up last weekend.

Aidan had been sneaking the chocolate chips while I was mixing and then  I  put the bowl done he grabbed it and proceeded to mix the chips out thinking I wasn't looking...

mmm yum chocolate chip.....mmmm

Whoops busted.....

Well even though he ate heaps of chips the cookies turned up fantastic and were all eaten..

Easter snow globe quickie craft

Sometimes you see an ornament and its just not right .

That was the case here...

I saw this cute little snow globe for Easter  and thought yes I like it but I don't like the colour of the base...

Now most people would just put it back and walk away but not me.

Home it came and I also got something else to help change it more to what I want ....

PAINT....

I got some gold spray paint from Spotlight  then I taped up the egg the went to town with the paint...

Now  that is its gold I love it ....

SO remember theres nothing paint cant fix....

Yeah schools back

Yes!!!!  schools back.....

Aidan has been back at school for  a week now .....

And boy I have seen some changes...

He doesn't want his hair done with  gel any more because he is a big boy...

He is also becoming responsible for remembering what he has to take to school on certain days such as Thursday is Choir practice he needs his music and lyrics...what is amazing is that he wants to do choir without being pushed ha ha we have since found out there is a couple of girls he likes in choir...ha ha ha .

But even though he looks so handsome in his winter uniform I am missing him now that schools back....

Don't get me wrong the house is clean  the kitchen is perfect no biscuit crumbs or packets around but the house is so QUIET....I miss hearing him sing and laugh and watching him and Lilly playing and running through the house .

So now I wait till next holidays  then I can whinge about how noisey and messy he is...

A very special cushion

We received a very special happy mail this week....

My friend Mardi The love Supreme made some beautiful cushions for her girls and I commented them and asked if she would make one for Aidan with a picture he had drawn.

Lucky for me she said yes and I sent her this drawing which I love of Aidan and Dog Dog....

 

I love everything about this cushion.the colours are perfect for Aidan's room they are perfect for a boy.

 

The look on Aidan's face was priceless and he yelled happily " dog dog "... then he grabbed the cover and hung onto to it for dear life...

Mardi even put this tag on it for me saying "aidan @ 6" which is how old he was when he drew this picture...

Check out the AC/DC  on Aidan's shirt and look at his hair -bits of wool and yarn....PERFECT..

 

Well for now this beautiful cushion is staying on Adan's bed he puts his head on it each night and goes to sleep with it.

I am sure this is going to become a well loved family heirloom...

ANZAC DAY.

You are my Sunshine

Aidan is mums youngest grandchild...and doesn't he know it.....

He loves his Nana and pop but has a special bond with his Nana ....

She calls him her little sunshine....

Aidan loves it when she calls him Sunshine or if she writes it on a letter for him...

Nana can do no wrong in Aidan's eyes and mum spoils him with her love and I love seeing them together..

Come on Aidan what are you crawling for here ? ha ha ha

Anyway mum found this cushion in Kmart and just knew Aidan needed to have it....

As soon as he saw it he knew Nana bought it for him and that it was special....

I told Aidan if he was sad or lonely to hug his pillow and he will feel his Nana's love come through it and I have seen him talking to the cushion as like mum was in front of him not just a pillow....

Sunshine lives on his bed with all the other cushions difference is Sunshine is from his Nana...

Flashback 2

Hello I had a couple of emails last flashback saying they loved the  picture of Easter Aidan that I thought I would give it another go....

Today's picture is of Kerry and her best friend Brianna when they were in kindy.

Oh My Goodness this was 1988 I remember it because it was Australia's Bi centennial .

In this photo the girls are dressed up as old Sydney siders at Old Sydney Town that used to be at Somserby near Gosford..

You thought we dressed the girls like that everyday didn't you ha ha ha .

I remember Jan and I sitting at my dinning table both sewing machines purring along as we made little skirts and mop hats for them to wear.

These girls were that tight they even had to have the same shoes or else there was trouble...\

Both girls have grown into beautiful young ladies with kids and they still remain friends even after we dressed them like this ha ha ha

OK friends here is a disgusting photo of my laundry....URGHH....

It is suppose to be getting renovated after my ensuite which is after Aidan's bathroom but I am so sick of this laundry that I think it may just jump the queue.

We had to buy a new washing machine as ours finally broke so we went for a front loader because I want the washing machine and dryer to all be under the bench.

And that's all I know so far.

SO if I intend to queue jump and do this before my ensuite  I better get some ideas together fast  ha ha

Bathroom renovations part two...

The saga continues....

All the tiles are out and gone...

Timber has been changed and this photo shows the shower and the little rectangle  you see it going to be a built in wall scones you know for shampoo soap  that sort of thing.

The bath frame has been rebuilt and I am really happy because it is higher then the last bath which was quite low to the floor...

The bath has arrived yeah and currently it is living in the guest room. One of my friends when she saw this photo called it Bed Bath and Table...

 

Guess what the bath fits. Well of course it fits Kevin measured it ha ha .

I also didn't want a plain bath  I wanted a free standing bath but the bathroom is so small so that was out of the question. So we bought an oval bath and I love it ....

So the bathroom is ready for waterproofing which hopefully will happen this weekend then its the tiler turns so you will see that in the next instalment.
