Smell divines my new candles

                             You all know I am making candles now well they are going great...

                                 Getting things prepared to make some candles up....

All poured and starting to set...They start off a yellowish clear liquid then as they set they turn white...

                                                   These ones have just been poured .....

These were the labels I first used to see how they went as I had some one interested in buying some so I made these out of Kraft adhesive paper they looked OK until I got my new ones...

                  Here are my new labels and OMG the scent is beautiful from all these candles....

                                                    What do you prefer which labels....

                                                         I blinged up some tea lights....

                            and here I used Washi tape to make the tea lights special......

                                                     plain tea lights which I still love.....

Christening cake pops

I made cake pops as part of the sweet table for Jaxons Christening...

I actually bought a mould to try to see if all the balls would be the same size....

It worked kind of.....you really need a couple as you leave them in the freezer to set then pop them out to decorate...

So would I use the mould again -No waste of time balls looks good but no...

Then to finish them off I used white candy melts and blue and white star sprinkles wrapped in a cello bag...

Looked good....

Mixed up photos Friday 39.

Hi lovelies.....I am going to have a horrible day today first off to the Home nursing as the wont come to me anymore because I'm long turn go figure....then come home and dress my legs and clean them....then off to my local doctor as its that time of the month for a mini check up and prescriptions for pain killers...then to top it off I have an hour long dentist visit....all this on Kev's rdo...

My nephew Chris and his daughter Chloe love them both so much.....Chris is also the LM's big brother...

My two handsome boys it was LM's first soccer game for the year and he is in the same team as last year which is good as he knows the kids....

Thumb Print Art

I love thumb print art.

I have a couple that were done with Kerry's thumbs when she was six.

My friend Virginia and I did markets together and there was a lady doing it at one of the markets we went to so I just had to get Kerry's done well I still have it and love it ...

The other day I was looking at Kerry's and decided I should do one for  the LM  and as I had Jaxon here I did his as well....

When Kerry came to pick up her boy I got hers and Emmanuel's thumb prints as well.

Once you have your thumb prints its just a matter of using a pen to put a little detail on them and Viola ....Thumb Print Arts...

My living book...

Recently on a friends blog The Janelle Wind Collection she wrote about  going to the markets and buying one of these growing books...

She went on to say show their website on which they sold the kits for $25 to make it everything even the dirt came with the kit...

I fell in love with this idea and promptly ordered one..

Such a great idea ...all you do is put the dirt in the hole (dirt supplied) put in your plant...this is the only thing you need to buy ..here is where I change things around I decided I didn't want a real plant so I put a florist oasis in the hole and then I put in a fake little succulent that I had  then just put the stones of top (these are supplied...)

 

It looks really nice on our stereo in the pool room and I may be sneaky to make one or two for teachers gifts.

Starting from the top are these lovely sea fans that my friend Emma sent me  from Keppel Sands I am going to frame them and put in the LM's bathroom...

My new mirror didn't fir where I wanted it to so for the moment it is living on this old box that was my Auntie Annie's.Kev keeps asking when I am painting this  and the answer stays the same NEVER....

I bought this cute coin purse at a local market when I went to see my friend Deb have her first stall there...

Starting to make another baby blanket this time it is for Karl and his wife Stacey (Kevin's eldest son) as they are having their first baby...

Harmony day cupcakes for the LM's class this week he was so proud when he gave them to his teacher...

Don't you just love these plants -I couldn't resit little purple balls of love...

A Christening Candle for Jaxon

Kerry asked if I wanted to make the Christening candle for Jaxon...

Is that a question of course I do....

I added up making Jaxons....then I made one for Emmanuel's parents then I did one for the Godmother and also the God father...

The hardest part was getting the sizing right....I was having a bad day and didn't do it the way I usually do but hey they all turned out....Its weird printing onto the vellum...

A close up of the candles Jaxons is the larger one at the back...

I felt really privileged to see my candle being used at the church and I hope Jaxon will like it when he is older...

Mixed up Fridat photos 38

Hello friends ....hope you had a great week me I am so lucky that I can plan my posts ahead as I have been so yuck all week but hey I'm used to it now....

Love this picture of mum and LM just happy to do their own thing mum on the phone and LM knitting....

We dressed the LM up for some professional photos on Sunday he looked too good not to take a photo before hand...

Jaxon also got his one year old photos done and when we finished Emmanuel faced him towards the fan Boy did he like that....

Afterwards Kerry and Manny went to the movies and I got to baby sit my boy...Loved every minute of it...We did craft -well I did some thumb print art works and he had vegiemite and cheese sandwich which he loved and I couldn't resist doing this to his hair...  Kerry just smiled.... you know the kind of smile like Uh thanks smile ha ha ha

                                                    This little sign made me smile .....

And a big Happy Birthday wish to my friend Gill ....hope you have the best day Gilly x

Then and now

I love my photos and have lots of favorites....too many really ha h a

Now that Kerry has Jaxon I try to redo a favourite photo of her but using Jaxon...

I have also done this of the LM and his brother Chris hey there is 25 years difference but who's counting....

                   I have always loved this picture of Chris taken when he was about 3 or 4 ....

So when LM got this car from Kevin and I for his first birthday I remembered the photo of Chris and this is my take on the photo .It doesn't have to be perfectly the same but similar....

I am so happy with this....

So here they are again ....Same basic idea ....similar props and I love it....

We bought Jaxon a car like the LM's for his first birthday so I will be taking a photo like this as well to keep it going...

A little box of love

I bought this little Kraft box from Big W for $4 or $5..... I just thought it was cute and knew I would make something with it one day...

The other day I didn't want to do what I had to do (makes sense ) so I went through all my bits and pieces and starting with the doiely, I  put bits and pieces on to the box  with all things from all my stash....then I took a photo so I would know where to stick them back on....

And here is the finished box....

It is nearly as it was first placed but then I changed my mind and just kept adding things on till I was happy with it...

So now I have a cute little box to give to my favourite girl Annaliese to put some jewellery or little treasures in....
