Me Kevin soft music ,candles and no kids....

Me Kevin candles soft music no kids mmmm sounds interesting doesn't it...well you are all too rude it not what you are thinking .

While the LM is away Kevin and I went and did a candle making class ha ha ha and you were  thinking  of something else...

I bought a voucher from Scoopons for a two hour lesson and Kev said he would do it with me as he has to take me there anyway ..

Lessons are normally $85 for everything and you take home 8 candles but I was lucky and got mine off Scoopons for $35 each...I would recommend the class and for $85 it is well worth it...

The class was at All Australian Candle Making supplies and kits here. It was really informative and we had a great afternoon there..

So on Sunday off we went...

Talk about fun it was great .there was another man there and I am sure a couple of other ladies were envious that my husband went -guess I am lucky hey ...

I was so happy that Kevin came.At least when I am making candles he now knows what I am talking about or he can help me with orders..he heh eh

We made a candle in a jar .A bees wax taper.4 tea lights,A triangle candle which was 2 tone and a really pretty candle that had a icicles pattern.

I have been making candles for a long time but wanted to get some new ideas and hints.I wont lie I didn't like the bees wax candle but I did buy the sheets of bees wax so I can make some with the LM as they are super easy and no heat involved so it will be a good activity for us.When ever I make candles  he wants to make some so now he can....

The two moulded triangle candles wont be made again  as they aren't what I want to do but I enjoyed making them and learning new techniques.

I love my jar candle I made the fragrance was Basil Lime and Mandarin.Kevin's was Coconut and Lime.I did learn a few things about these candles (these are the type I sell) that I didn't know that will be very helpful.

The owners Lyn and Doug were very helpful and no question was too silly to answer.There was about 10 of us in the class how great it would be to get a few of your girlfriends together and take the class.

The best thing of all was the shopping afterwards....I bought some really nice glass wear, wax (boring but hey you need it if you are making candles ) and around 10 new fragrances.It was so good to be able to smell them before buying and I got some that surprised me such as fig and pear gee that is divine...

                                 I even managed to take a selfie of the two of us.....

So yeah we had a really good afternoon making new friends learning new tricks but est of all I spent 3 hours with my best friend with no kids,housework,phone calls or renovations getting in our way just Me and Kev  DIVINE...

So I am going to keep my eyes open and look for something else we can do together....
