I was dusting yesterday (no I don't do this often enough but my mum is coming down and I want the house all pretty for her ) and while dusting I realised that I have some of my favourite pieces of decorative painting that I did ages ago still around...
This is a large plate I made don't know what the flowers are but I loved the berries and twigs. This is my all time favourite...
I have got rid of so many pieces given as gifts or I just don't want them anymore that it was nice to see some...
Love the colours in this plate....
So I thought I would show you want I have done and I'm not just a pretty face hey ha ha
I love this style of painting it is called Hinderloopen and is a traditional design and colours..
Another Hinderloopen piece. What I like most is it is all free hand doesn't matter if some commas were bigger than others. It is a pheasant type style of painting...
I don't paint this way any more it was just a thing I wanted to learn you know what I mean been there done that but I am glad to have these pieces.
Another traditional piece this time it is Norwegian Rosemailing...I figured since my real father was born in Norway it would be a nice piece to have. This is a large box.
Sorry about the photos I couldn't find my camera (LM had it taking photos of Miss Lilly and his toys) so I used my IPhone...
This little box is a mixture of decoupage and hand painted pansies then antiqued.
This piece was something I made for Jan and when she passed Brie thought I may like to have it...
I love this piece except it lives in the wardrobe as I have nowhere to put it yet.It is all painted with a very fine liner brush with little shadow roses...
So there you go hope you enjoyed seeing another side of me...
All so beautiful, but we move on to do better things. xxx
